II Symposium on Countering CBRNe Threats

The International Master Courses in “Protection against CBRNe events” was invited to attend the II Symposium on Countering CBRNe Threats which took place from 4-6 October in Rumia, Poland. The Symposium was organized within the framework of a Norwegian Grants project on “Strengthening CBRNe safety and security – Coordination and Standardization”.

During the symposium, our colleague Grace Xerri gave a presentation titled “The CBRNe research, education and activities done by the University of Rome Tor Vergata: 15 years of supranational, international and national cooperations and successes”. In this presentation, she presented the 15 years of research and education stemming from the Master CBRNe courses, including international collaborations, participation in EU-funded research projects, and outcomes from the SICC conference which concluded last week. We were also proud to inform the participants that we have been partners on 3 of the EU-funded projects (MELODY, eNOTICE, & VERTIgO) which were presented at this meeting.

Thank you to the organizers of the event for the invitation and opportunity to present our multidisciplinary research, education and training efforts to enhance CBRNe preparedness and response capabilities both in Europe and throughout the world.
