Executive Director Dr. Luigi Antonio Poggi on behalf of the HESAR association as a non-governmental organization will participate at the plenary sessions of the 21st Session of the Conference of State Parties of the OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) that will take place from Monday 28 November to Friday 2 December 2016 at The World Forum, The Hague, Netherlands.
The Conference of the States Parties oversees the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, promotes the treaty’s objectives and reviews compliance with the treaty. The Conference is composed of representatives of all Member States of the OPCW, each of which has one vote. The CSP meets annually for one week in The Hague.
